This is a very complete and up-to-date review of the topic. It is written by two people who are intimately involved with the latest research and commercial developments in this area. All aspects of Fischer-Tropsch technology are covered in great detail along with the complementary technologies such as gasification. An excellent set of references is supplied. Historically relevant work is also covered. The only negative comment I can make is a minor one; the English is not always grammatically correct and I would suggest some punctuation changes. However, this does not affect the clarity of the presentation
