Welcome to the 2008 GE Leadership Workshop!
You are invited to apply for a seat at the 2008 GE Leadership Workshop! This
workshop is a bridge to learn more about GE values and a chance to build your
leadership traits.
The workshop is a one-day event that will consist of guest speeches (GE
business Leaders, FMP graduates etc.), case studies and teambuilding activities,
etc. Participants will build essential leadership skills through interactive;
lectures and group interactions.
The workshop is also considered a helpful step towards GE's summer internship
program.
Qualification/Requirement
- Open to students graduating in 2009
- Academic excellence
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Self-confidence, strong analytical skills and exceptional communication skills
- Any background welcome

GE Overview
GE traces its beginnings to Thomas A. Edison, who established Edison Electric
Light Company in 1878. In 1892, a merger of Edison General Electric Company and
Thomson-Houston Electric Company created General Electric Company.
GE is made up of six businesses, GE Commercial Finance, GE Infrastructure, GE
Healthcare, GE Money, GE Industrial and NBC Universal, each of which includes a
number of units aligned for growth.
FMP Overview
The Financial Management Program (FMP) is GE's premiere entry-level training
program for high potential individuals seeking a Finance career. FMP is the
cornerstone in the development of future Finance leaders at GE. The program
consists of 4 or 5 six-month rotational assignments at a GE Business combined
with 4 intensive, graded courses taught by GE professionals. FMPs also attend
various leadership development seminars and are exposed to GE leaders through
both formal and informal mentoring networks.
