Research Field
The group of Eco-material and control technology belongs to the newly established research department of environmental nano-materials in the Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, CAS.
The main research interests of our group focus on the following three aspects:
Synthesis, characterization and applications of environmental nano- materials, such as nano-porous and nano-composite materials, zeolite and pillared clays, hydrotalcite-like compounds (HTlcs). Such nano-materials possess of improved properties and unique functionalities and can be used as ideal adsorbents, catalysts and sensors.
Advanced techniques for removal and control of environmental pollutants from different anthropological activities and economic technologies for emission reduction of greenhouse gas.
Environmental effects and reaction of nano-particles and nano-materials, and their interaction with environmental pollutants.
Specific Research Topics:
Nano-materials and technologies for VOCs adsorption/desorption and oxidation
Eco-materials and economic technologies for emission reduction of greenhouse
gas(N2O, CO2, CH4 and so no)
Nano-composite materials and technology for nitrogen oxides (NOx) capture,
reduction and decomposition
Eco-materials and technology for improvement of indoor air quality (removal of
environmental pollutants such as CO, O3, HCOH, C6H6, C6H5CH3, C2H4 and so no)
Synthesis and characterization of nano Au materials and environmental
applications
Sampling, characterizations and analysis of nano particles, their interaction with
environmental pollutants, environmental effects of nano-materials.
Nano-porous materials and techniques for waste water treatments
Policy study on control of environmental pollutants and emission reduction of
greenhouse gas
Now we are warmly inviting researchers and students to join us who have the solid background and relevant skills, and plan to build your research career in the environmental nanomaterials and nanotechnologies.
